Franklin County Board of County Commissioners Mourns the Passing of Commissioner Noah Lockley
It is with great sadness that Franklin County and the Board of County Commissioners announce the passing of County Commissioner Noah Lockley, Jr. Commissioner Lockley passed away Tuesday afternoon surrounded by family at the age of 72.
This is such a great loss for Franklin County. Our Hearts and Prayers are with the Commissioner’s Family and Friends in their time of sorrow.
Commissioner Lockley was elected to his first term of office November 16, 2004, and has served the citizens of Franklin County for 19 years. Commissioner Lockley was a former seafood worker, plumber, and carpenter. He was outspoken with his opinions and stood up for all he believed in. His faith led him in his endeavors and supported his outgoing nature to serve the whole of Franklin County.
Commissioner Lockley demonstrated his desire to help people through his dedication to Weems Memorial Hospital and was passionate about being “Storm Ready” and promoting business in Franklin County.
Commissioner Lockley will truly be missed. Please join us in honoring his memory by flying your flags at half-mast from November 16, 2023 (19th Anniversary of Commissioner Lockley being elected Commissioner) until sunset, Tuesday, November 21, 2023 (Board of County Commission Meeting).
